Skilled New Hampshire representation with flexible retainers and predictable payment plans, so strong legal help is within reach for working families and small businesses.
New HampshirePractice Areas
Divorce, parenting plans, support, and modifications. Steady guidance through some of life's hardest transitions, with a focus on protecting your family's stability.
Contract and business disputes, and other civil matters. Efficient, strategic representation for individuals and small business owners who need a clear path to resolution.
Felony and misdemeanor defense informed by years on both sides of the courtroom, as a prosecutor and as a public defender.
The Approach
Too many people can't afford a traditional firm's retainer, yet face court procedures that are overwhelming alone. Cahalin Law exists to close that gap with clear fees and committed advocacy.
Retainer options built around middle-income budgets, not around a big up-front barrier.
Predictable monthly payments so you always know what to expect and can plan ahead.
Disciplined case management and digital tools keep your matter moving and your costs focused.
Years litigating across New Hampshire courts means real familiarity with how cases actually move.

About Brendan
Brendan Cahalin has litigated throughout New Hampshire since 2015. He began as a prosecutor in the Rockingham and Merrimack County Attorney's Offices, then represented clients as a staff attorney with the New Hampshire Public Defender. Most recently he supervised the civil litigation and family law units at a New Hampshire firm.
That background shaped how he practices: thorough preparation, strategic focus, and honest communication, backed by modern case management so your matter never stalls.
Press & Recognition
From the Concord Monitor feature, February 23, 2021.
In February 2021 the Concord Monitor published a full-page feature about Brendan's recovery from alcohol use disorder, the years of treatment behind it, and his return to the law. He was an assistant Merrimack County attorney at the time, serving as the primary prosecutor for the county's drug court and sitting across from people fighting the same battle he had.
It shapes how he practices today. Brendan has been sober since 2019 and volunteers with the New Hampshire Lawyers Assistance Program to help other attorneys in crisis. He brings the same honesty his own recovery required to the clients he represents, and he does not judge the people who come to him in trouble.
“Alcohol wasn’t my problem, it was me. It was the way I was thinking and acting in the world.”
